Hydroxythiol: more information
Hydroxythirosol is a polyphenolic compound, mainly, but not limited to, in the tree of the alive (leaves in the first place) and in the vegetation waters derived from the milling of olive products. It is also present in extra virgin olive oil, albeit in much smaller quantities.
Its high antioxidant capacity, therefore free radical scavenger, has been found in several studies; alongside this very important activity, hydroxytyrosol exerts a number of significant positive actions on dismetabolism in general: regulating the lipid / glycidic profile and hence of the aterogenetic, antihypertensive, antiplatelet, platelet, neurodegenerative and even possible antitumoral effects.
